Description
To get Italian Nebbiolo that delivers real aromatic attractiveness you have to spend a small fortune while this Henschke Nebbiolo (at a fraction of the price) delivers upfront drinking pleasure in aces! This is too dark in colour and fruit style to be either Grenache or Pinot Noir but good examples of these two varieties do offer something similar to the Henschke “Rose Grower” Nebbiolo which erupts with lashings of pure cherry jam fruit, rose petals and marzipan, while the palate is lusciously round and ripe at a surprisingly modest 13.5%ABV. It’s round, smooth, and polished, and might not last as long as tannic wines from Barolo do, but this beats the pants off the majority of them on the value-for-money front!
