I’m confident saying that this is Australia’s greatest Zinfandel and the fact that it rates an average on Vivino of 4.3 out of 5 across over 700 ratings of vintages dating back to 2002 underlines the reasonableness of such a claim. This can be almost unbearably fruit-driven when it is young but ages wonderfully as a result, developing a kaleidoscope of complex aromas over the years. It blows people away by its sheer intensity when young, and seduces with its layers of charm and intrigue as it ages. A really wonderful wine that has to be experienced to be believed. A big wine with lots of everything. Get out the decanter and your biggest glasses and be ready to re-assess everything you thought you knew about Zinfandel.
