Description
I never thought of Bendigo as “cool climate” but for some reason the wines of Old Kingower Vineyard are emphatically cool climate in style. There’s no “fruit bomb” to this Shiraz but polished fruit at a demure level of ripeness, airbrushed and restrained, while the palate is balanced and just fuller than medium bodied with a genteel level of firmness to the tannins. A delectable quaffer hitting its straps and an eye-opener to the Bendigo region.
